Indigenous Advocacy
Indigenous/Native people worldwide need protection
Help build better political representation of Native people here at home (USA).
Activism and Advocacy for Native People
There is a strong need for Indigenous advocacy. The roughly 476 million Indigenous people sharing our world have almost no political representation and little to no defense against further intrusion into their lands and lifeways.
This is true in the U.S. where the First Nations have no representatives in state or national congress in the USA, no parliamentary-level ministers in most countries, and they have no voting representation at the UN.
Better Native representation within political parties is possible. While focusing on local nations in the “four corners” area where I live (Navajo, Hopi, Ute Mountain Ute, Southern Ute, Ak-Chin (O’odham), Fort Mohave, and Zuni), it is my intent to help create an Indigenous Caucus within the Green Party of the United States to better inform the national party and support the First Nations.

“These difficult battles are strengthened by a very long view that sees our role as protecting the present, the future, and the 7th generation. Working for environmental and economic justice is spiritual work that reaffirms our human relationship and responsibility to protect the sacredness of Mother Earth and the recognition of Father Sky.” — Tom Goldtooth
